1311 Joystick

The Commodore joystick that was released with the C64 was an original design compared to their previous one for VIC20 that was almost a copy of the well known Atari joystick. It has the fire button in the center so that it could be used by left-handed people as well. We got two of these joysticks back when we got our first C64 and to be frank, they were total utter crap. They use a metal contact that got pushed down on the print as you move the stick and these broke quite frequently. They had to be opened and fixed quite often.

Collection

I was quite lucky to get a boxed and (it looks) totally unused joystick on an ebay auction in UK. The silver commodore text is still there (often got rubbed off on these joysticks).
